PROFILE: On the glorious hills of Montespertoli in the shadow
of the ancient Castle of Montegufoni, stands the pretty 'Villa Lions'.
Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, the villa is the perfect
place to relax and enjoy the peaceful Tuscan countryside. It is situated
on a hilltop that dominates the valley offering 360-degree views that
stretch as far as the eye can see. ' Villa Lions ' (just 20 kilometres
from Florence) offers hospitality in comfortable apartments, furnished
in traditional Tuscan country style. Guests have a large fenced garden
at their disposal where is possible to have barbecue and each apartment
has a private garden area o gazebo where they may to dine enjoing
the cool. There is a lovely swimming pool 12x6 meters well equiped
with sun beds. Around the swimming pool mature olive trees provide
plenty of shade and are ideal for an afternoon nap or a quiet read.
When the pool is closed for the season then the area offers, within
a very short distance, a tennis court, 2 stables and bicycle hire
outlets, and for the walker, a wide range of trekking routes with
panoramic views of great beauty. At 20 Km. from the centre of Florence
in a ideal position to reach Siena , Pisa, San Gimignano, a stay at
Villa Lions offers you the opportunity of an ideal holiday to discover
the artistic treasures of Tuscany.
APARTMENTS: Villa Lions which takes its name from the pair of 17th
century statues that guard the entrance, is never crowded since it
has only five comfortable apartments recently restored, all furnished
in a typical Tuscan style and all with orthopedical mattresses, blankets,
towels, and kitchen facilities such as oven, a large fridge with ice
box, satellite tv included in the price. Each apartment has a telephone.
Each apartment has an internet connection and computer equipment is
available by arrangement. It is possible to have barbecues in the
garden, and each apartment has a private garden.
WHERE WE ARE: At 20 Km. from the centre of Florence in a ideal position
to reach Siena , Pisa, San Gimignano, a stay at Villa Lions offers
you the opportunity of an ideal holiday to discover the artistic treasures
of Tuscany.
FACILITIES: Swimming-pool: the pool at "villa Lions" (6m x 12m) is
not supervised. Sun-chairs and umbrella's at the pool area.The Park
and Garden area: it's possible to stroll around and relax in the surrounding
garden. Barbecue: Barbecue is available for the guest, free of charge.
Mountain bikes: Mountain bike renting. For Kids: Kids playing area.
Tennis club: The nearest tennis club is in Montagnana (1km). Horse-riding:
about 2 kms away. Fishing: about 4 kms away. Weekly and daily markets:
in the San Lorenzo quarter of Florence there is a lively street market
every day except Sunday. There are markets in the mornings in the
following towns:Monday: San Casciano. Tuesday: Montespertoli. Wednesday:
Siena. Thursday: Cerbaia, Empoli, Tavarnelle. Saturday: Montelupo.
