| RESIDENCE AREZZO: Residence Arezzo is in the middle of San Pietro
a Cegliolo, a small hamlet just outside Cortona with a splendid view
of the city's domes and towers.An area with a rich Etruscan, mediaeval
and renaissance heritage, Cortona has plenty to see and do - castles
and churches to visit, excellent restaurants, archaeological remains
and some lovely scenery. With a well-kept garden and a large, clean
swimming pool, Residence Arezzo is perfectly placed for explorers
and sun-seekers alike . The Residence ( apartments - hotel ) , reconstructed
from a 16th century structure, looks out upon the towers, the domes,
the vegetation, and the sky of Cortona, a city of ancient and mysterious
origins. Frequented by Mitterand, seat of a University of Georgiaart
program, and host to the prestigious Annual Exhibition of Antique
Furniture as well as a monthly exhibition of antiques ( on the third
Sunday of each month ), Cortona is a citycloser to heaven than to
the train station. In the vast plane which extends below Cortona,
there was discovered an important Etruscan royal tomb dating back
to the 6th century B.C. APARTMENTS: The rural complex is situated near the center of San Pietro a Cegliolo, a hamlet of the 'Comune di Cortona'. Today it is a welcoming and comfortable Residence nestled in the silence of a particularly charming and naturally scenic setting. The buildings are organized around what was once a large farmyard, and the house, with its tower rising high above the other structures, is by far the oldest building.
