| VILLA MONTALCINO: ( 9+4 sleeping accommodations ) In
the heart of the "Val d’Orcia" natural park on the "francigena" medieval
road which was used by the pilgrims while going to Rome, you will
find Villa Montalcino which dates back to the 1700 and which was once
the restoring place for travellers and foreigners. The villa is consisting
of two apartments which have been decorated and furnished in the farmer’s
style of the early 1900. Outside there is a large garden where you can use a barbecue and a wood oven for your dinners, to bake pizzas and to grill meats and vegetables. The villa overlooks the river Orcia and the characteristic village "Bagno Vignone" famous for its thermal waters. It’a consisting of two apartments for a total of 9 + 4 beds. There are two characteristic kitchens, both have a large fireplace. All bedrooms (4 double and 1 single) have a private bathroom. WHERE WE ARE : The Villa is located at a few kilometres from Montalcino in the Siena province, near the famous Chianciano Therme. Distances: 1 km to Bagno Vignone, 4 kms to Castiglione d’Orcia, 10 kms to Pienza, 16 kms to Montalcino, 22 kms to Montepulciano. |
